Dynamic Modeling of CO2 Absorption Process Using Hollow-Fiber Membrane Contactor in MEA Solution

In this work, a comprehensive mathematical model was developed in order to evaluate the CO2 capture process microporous polypropylene hollow-fiber membrane countercurrent contactor, using monoethanolamine (MEA) as chemical solvent. terms of absorption, showed excellent agreement with experimental data published literature for wide range operating conditions (R2 > 0.96), 1–2.7 L/min gas flow rates and 10–30 L/h liquid rates. Based on model, effects rate, aqueous absorbents’ rate also inlet concentration removal efficiency were determined. The % increased while increasing MEA solution rate; 81% removed at high rate. decreased residence time contactors when lower, reaching 97% 1 L?min?1.
